Over the years, APIXA has engaged in a multitude of research oriented and industrial automation projects. Our customers cover renowned international players, high-tech niche players and a range of other organizations.
In support of our strong business growth, Vision++ moved to its new headquarter offices in Haasrode Research Park in Leuven. The new facilities include spacious office areas as well as three state-of-the-art computer vision laboratories.
Vision++ developed HSI-Cal, a full system calibration service for hyperspectral cameras
In 2009, Vision++ pioneered the use of 3D laser scanning for random bin picking. The company received a research grant from IWT (now VLAIO), which led to the development of the BinPicker++ software. Vision++ demonstrated the software by creating 4 industrial-grade bin picking cells in collaboration with four major robot brands.
In April 2008 Vision++ became an NV ('Naamloze Vennootschap') and Allegro Investment Fund and Asgard Invest joined as investors.
Vision++ BVBA was founded in 2007 as a spin-off of the industrial computer vision group Visics-PSI of the K.U.Leuven.
Kurt Cornelis, Geert Caenen and Rik Fransens meet each other at the Computer Vision Lab PSI - Visics at the KU Leuven University in Belgium. They have been colleagues for almost eight years and gradually, the idea grows to start up their own consultancy company.
